A note on copies, and on what we will and will not say about them.
What is genuinely ours
Our pattern selection, our photography, the text on this site and the specification we hold our manufacturer to. Those are ours and we will defend them.
What is not
The shapes. A quilted tote is a quilted tote, and plenty of shops sell a similar one. Many patterns in this category are common designs available to a lot of sellers — we are not going to pretend otherwise, and we are not going to tell you that a bag which resembles ours is automatically a fake.
Why we are saying this
It is common in this category to run a "beware of imitations" warning implying every similar bag is a knock-off of a single original. It is a pressure tactic, and usually the shop running it is buying from the same suppliers as everyone else.
What to actually check before buying quilted bags anywhere
- Is there a real delivery estimate? If a site ships from overseas but promises a few days, one of those is false.
- Does the price hold at checkout? A bag advertised as free with a large shipping charge is not free.
- Does the countdown restart? Reload the page. If the clock resets, the deadline is not real.
- Are the reviews attached to orders? A brand-new shop with thousands of reviews did not get them from customers.
- Are there measurements? Vague sizing usually means nobody has handled the product.
Those tests are not flattering to a lot of shops. Run them on us too.
