About us

Marlow Bags. sells quilted bags — totes, weekenders, wash bags and beach bags — in patterns you do not find on a high street shelf.

Where the bags actually come from

We are a small online shop. We choose the patterns and the shapes, we set the specification, and the bags are made for us by a manufacturing partner overseas and shipped from their warehouse to you.

We say that plainly because a lot of shops selling bags like these do not. You will find sites in this category built around a named artisan at a sewing table, quietly shipping from a wholesale warehouse on the other side of the world. We would rather tell you what this is and let you decide.

What that means for you, concretely

  • Delivery takes longer than a domestic order. Eight to sixteen business days is the honest range, and it is on the product page, not buried in a policy.
  • The price on the page is the price. No headline number that turns into something else at checkout.
  • Every listed measurement is a real measurement, in inches and centimetres, taken flat.

What we are actually good at

Pattern selection and quality control. Quilted bags vary enormously in stitch density, lining and zip quality, and most of the difference is invisible in a photograph. We buy samples, carry them around, wash them, and drop the ones that go limp or fray. The range is smaller than it could be because of that.

What we will never do

Write our own reviews, buy them, or import them from a supplier's listing. Invent a founder, a workshop, or a number of happy customers. Run a countdown that restarts when you reload the page. Advertise a bag as free and put the cost in the shipping line.

If any of that ever appears on this site, something has gone wrong and you should tell us.
